Dr. Bratin Saha
Vice President of AI & ML, AWS

Dr. Bratin Saha leads the ML and AI services at AWS, where he helped build one of the fastest-growing businesses in the company’s history. The growth was so remarkable that in 2022, Harvard Business School wrote three case studies that documented his work. He is an alumnus of Harvard Business School (General Management Program), Yale University (PhD in computer science), and Indian Institute of Technology (BS in computer science). He has more than 70 patents granted (with another 50+ pending) and more than 30 papers in conferences/journals. Prior to landing at Amazon, he worked at NVIDIA and Intel, leading different product groups that spanned imaging, analytics, media processing, high performance computing, ML, and software infrastructure.

Analytics

G2 Krishnamoorthy
Vice President of Analytics, AWS

Ganapathy (G2) Krishnamoorthy leads data lake services (AWS Lake Formation, Amazon Athena, Amazon EMR), data integration (AWS Glue, AWS Glue Elastic Views, Amazon AppFlow), Amazon DataZone, OpenSearch, and Amazon QuickSight. He brings two decades of experience working with databases, big data analytics, and machine learning (ML). Prior to AWS, he built and ran big data warehouse and storage systems (the analytics and ML platform) at Facebook (Meta). During his 16 years at Microsoft, he worked on the SQL Server database, Azure Analytics, and Azure ML.

Architecture

Francessca Vasquez
Vice President of Technology, AWS

Francessca Vasquez is a thought leader of business and technology cloud transformations. She and her global team deliver the processes and tools to facilitate digital innovation throughout the customers' cloud journey. In this role, she has oversight of solutions architecture, customer solutions, innovation engineering, and workforce transformation. As the Executive Sponsor for the AWS CIO Council, Francessca listens to customer feedback to continuously improve the customer experience. She is an active participant in non-profits that inspire diversity, inclusion, and equitable access in STEM.

Automotive and manufacturing

Wendy Bauer
General Manager, Automotive & Manufacturing, AWS

Wendy Bauer joined AWS in October 2019 and leads the global Automotive & Manufacturing organization. She’s responsible for supporting the world’s largest automotive original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), suppliers, and cross-segment manufacturing companies to accelerate their digital transformation journeys while maximizing value creation. Wendy spent more than 20 years in the automotive industry in leadership roles across both OEMs and tier 1 suppliers. Her experience spans sales, product strategy and business development, engineering, purchasing, and quality. Wendy has been recognized as a Software-Defined Vehicle Innovator Leader by MotorTrend (2023) and as one of the top 100 Leading Women in the North America Auto Industry (2020) and a Rising Star – OEM and Supplier (2016) by Automotive News.

Cloud operations

Nandini Ramani
Vice President of Monitoring & Observability, AWS

Nandini Ramani leads the monitoring and observability cloud services organizations for AWS. For more than two decades, Nandini has been working to break down tech industry barriers and pioneer the design and development of visionary products and go-to-market strategies for industry-transforming startups and global organizations such as Oracle. An innovator with 17 patents, she has been recognized as one of the most powerful female engineers by Business Insider, named one of the PharmaVoice 100, and is listed in the Hall of Femme honoring female luminaries.

Containers, instances, and serverless compute

David Brown
Vice President of Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2)

David Brown joined AWS in 2007 as a software developer based in Cape Town, South Africa, working on the early development of Amazon EC2—a web service that provides secure, resizable compute and networking capacity in the cloud. Over the last 15 years, he’s held several roles within the Amazon EC2 organization, shaping the service into what it is today. Prior to joining AWS, David worked as a software developer within a financial industry startup.

Databases

Jeff Carter
Vice President, Databases and Migration Services, AWS

Jeff Carter is responsible for several database services, including Amazon RDS open source and commercial, Amazon Neptune, Amazon ElastiCache, Amazon MemoryDB for Redis, Amazon DocumentDB (with MongoDB compatibility), Amazon Timestream, and AWS Database Migration Service (AWS DMS). Prior to his current role, he was VP of Data at Amazon.com, CISO for Amazon.com, and VP/GM of Database/Platforms at Teradata.

Rahul Pathak
Vice President of Relational Database Engines, AWS

Rahul Pathak leads Amazon Aurora, Amazon Redshift, and Amazon QLDB. Prior to his current role, he was VP of Analytics at AWS, where he worked across the entire AWS database portfolio. He has cofounded two companies, one focused on digital media analytics and the other on IP geolocation.

Developer

Adam Seligman
Vice President, AWS Generative Builders

Adam Seligman leads the teams that make it easier for builders to create applications on AWS. He has worked as a leader in the tech industry for more than 20 years in roles at Salesforce, Google, and Microsoft. Adam is passionate about democratizing technology and believes that every developer should have access to the same powerful tools and resources—regardless of their background or experience level.

Emerging Tech

Bill Vass
Vice President of Engineering, AWS

Bill Vass oversees more than 42 cloud and edge technologies that allow AWS customers to efficiently store, analyze, manage, and retrieve information. Before joining AWS, he was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Liquid Robotics, Inc., a pioneering cloud-based solutions company that designs and builds autonomous robots. He’s also held leadership positions at Sun Microsystems Federal and at Sun. During his time in the public service sector, Bill worked for the Secretary of Defense in the Office of the CIO and as CTO and tech lead for the U.S. Army’s personnel systems worldwide. Before his work at the DoD, he developed large-scale commercial information technology engineering and business systems solutions for defense system integrators and the oil, gas, and ocean engineering industries.

Financial services

Scott Mullins
Managing Director and General Manager of Worldwide Financial Services, AWS

Scott Mullins is responsible for leading the development and implementation of AWS strategic global initiatives in the financial services industry. He began his career as an equity trader and has worked in the financial services industry for the past 26 years, at firms such as Nasdaq, JPMorgan Chase, Merrill Lynch, and Penson Worldwide. As the leader of the AWS Financial Services organization, Scott works closely with industry leaders, global regulators, and policymakers to transform the industry and evolve the technology that powers it. A graduate of Texas A&M University, Scott is a recognized thought leader who is quoted in industry media. He recently served on the advisory board of the FinTech Sandbox and on the U.S. FDIC’s Subcommittee on Supervision Modernization.

Networking and content delivery

Max Peterson
Vice President, Worldwide Public Sector (WWPS), AWS

Max Peterson has more than thirty years of public sector experience, and he’s passionate about using cloud computing to drive digital transformation across government, education, healthcare, aerospace, and nonprofit sectors. Prior to his current role, Peterson created and led the WWPS international sales division at AWS—work that contributed to growing the business at a global level. Today, tens of thousands of public sector organizations around the world count on AWS to support their mission-critical systems.

Security, compliance, and identity

CJ Moses
Chief Information Security Officer, AWS

CJ leads product design and security engineering for AWS. His mission is to deliver the economic and security benefits of cloud computing to business and government customers. Prior to joining AWS in December 2007, CJ led the technical analysis of computer and network intrusion efforts at the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Cyber Division and also served as a Special Agent with the Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI). CJ led several computer intrusion investigations, which are seen as foundational to the security industry today.

Storage

Andy Warfield
Vice President and Distinguished Engineer, AWS

Andy focusses primarily on data storage and analytics in his role at AWS. He holds a PhD from the University of Cambridge, where he was one of the authors of the Xen hypervisor. Xen is an open-source hypervisor that was used as the initial virtualization layer in AWS (along with other early cloud companies’ solutions). Andy was a founder at Xensource, a startup that was subsequently acquired by Citrix Systems. Following XenSource, Andy was a professor at the University of British Columbia, where he was awarded a Canada Research Chair and a Sloan Research Fellowship. As a professor, Andy did systems research. Andy’s second startup, Coho Data, was a scale-out enterprise storage array that integrated NVMe SSDs with programmable networks.

Generative AI for industries

Shaown Nandi
Director, Technology and Strategic Accounts, AWS

Shaown leads solutions architecture, customer solutions, optimization, and prototyping for the AWS industries business, which supports all of the company’s largest cutting-edge tech customers. Prior to joining AWS, Shaown served as Chief Information Officer at Dow Jones and Head of Shared Services at News Corp, one of the first enterprise organizations to adopt cloud technology. As CIO, he spearheaded a shared service company called NewsTech to unify IT services across News Corp Business Units worldwide and drove over $100M in cost savings. Shaown has also worked as a global technology executive at IBM, where he managed product development teams in the cloud space. He has an MBA and a bachelor’s degree from Cornell University.
