PeerTalk is the cutting-edge peer-to-peer networking program that uses AWS AI/ML services to transform how attendees connect at re:Invent. With PeerTalk, attendees can effortlessly discover and connect with like-minded professionals from across the globe. Once attendees opt in through the AWS Events mobile app, PeerTalk will suggest potential connections based on topics of interest.

Browse recommendations, message other attendees, and arrange meetups through the platform, and then sit down for a face-to-face conversation in one of the five PeerTalk lounges located throughout the re:Invent campus. PeerTalk is accessible through the AWS Events mobile app.

Ready to supercharge your re:Invent networking? PeerTalk makes it easier than ever to connect with fellow attendees. Here's how to get started.

Getting started (2 mins)

Download the AWS Events mobile app available now on both iOS and Android
Log in with your event credentials
Quick setup: Accept terms, pick your interests, and choose your preferred meeting spots from one of our five awesome locations (The Venetian, Mandalay Bay, MGM Grand, Wynn, or Caesars Forum)

Find your people

Browse recommended connections based on shared interests
Search the full attendee list using filters
Pro tip: Favorite profiles to find them easily later

Start conversations

Tap the chat bubble to start talking
Accept or decline chat requests
Need space? Easily block conversations

Schedule meetups

Make it official with in-person meetings:

Pick up to four people to meet with (they all have to opt in to PeerTalk to be notified)
Let PeerTalk suggest times based on each person’s availability
Or, take control and set your own time and place
Add a catchy title and description to get more "yes" responses

All confirmed meetings sync to your AWS Events app calendar automatically

Questions

As long as you are a registered in-person re:Invent attendee, you can opt in to PeerTalk through the AWS Events mobile app.
You can connect with other re:Invent attendees who have opted in to PeerTalk. Connect by initiating a one-on-one or group chat conversation or by requesting an in-person networking meeting of up to four people. To help you get started on your networking journey, there are featured PeerTalk experts from various technical and nontechnical backgrounds who will be active on the platform—check out their profiles and search for them on the platform once it’s launched.
As long as you don’t complete the onboarding steps within the PeerTalk platform, you will not be included on the platform. If you onboarded and then changed your mind, you can opt out at any time in your PeerTalk Profile page (note that once you do, the meetings booked through PeerTalk will be automatically canceled).
Yes, you are welcome to rejoin PeerTalk even after opting out. Your chat conversations and Favorites will resume. However, your PeerTalk meetings that were canceled when opting out will not be rescheduled on their own.
The platform launches in early November, so you can start discovering other attendees, chatting, and booking meetings in advance of re:Invent. Note that meeting slots are limited, first come, first served, and must be booked through the AWS Events mobile app.
There is no limit. You can book as many meetings on a first-come, first-served basis.
You can reschedule meetings through the PeerTalk Meetings tab.
You can suggest a new time and date through the PeerTalk Meetings tab.
