- Attend. Attend sustainability breakout sessions and workshops to learn more innovative ways to solve current and real-life business challenges.
- Dive deep. Visit the sustainability showcase to dive deep on topics seen in the breakout sessions and workshops.
- Reduce and reuse. Pick up your reusable water bottle from SWAG (The Venetian, Hall C), and participate in Hydrate and Help to reduce waste from single-use plastic and to help fund clean-water projects.
- Eat sustainably. Menus at re:Invent are designed with sustainability in mind. Choose more plant-based options to reduce your carbon footprint this year. Looking to amplify your efforts? Stop by Mandalay Bay on Tues., Nov. 28 and Caesar’s Forum on Wed., Nov. 29 to participate in our plant-based day—enjoy delectable plant-based culinary creations all day.
- Opt in. AWS re:Invent programs are designed to reduce the amount of materials used and divert trash from landfills. Select reusable service ware (vs. disposables) for meals to join the effort.
- Waste sorting. Waste sorting can be confusing, so we’ve implemented a secondary waste sorting program to help ensure that the fewest items go to landfill as possible.
- Donate. Give away SWAG that won’t fit in your luggage. Look for donation bins near transportation locations and exits across the re:Invent campus. Place your SWAG in these bins, and we’ll donate it to Clark County nonprofit organizations.
- Opt out. Opt out of housekeeping when you check in to your hotel. You’ll reduce waste plus the water and energy resources that these services consume.
- Use re:Invent transportation. Take the re:Invent shuttles or monorail, or follow the walking paths between re:Invent venues rather than driving, taking a cab, or using a rideshare program to get around.
